Savant's iLocate solution is a personal locator that is designed to be worn externally. The iLocate hardware format is flexible so that it can be worn visibly or discreetly around the arm, shoulders or waist. This discrete external location means:

• Better GPS reception in urban areas - any device in a pocket or case may not get a strong GPS signal
• No obviously "nickable" phone or panic alarm - if a lone worker is attacked a phone or tracking device is a definite theft target, making it impossible for the lone worker to get help
• Discrete operation of the panic alarm - when a situation is escalating, pulling out and operating a panic alarm increases risk. iLocate can be activated by the wearer folding their arms (a natural defensive response) and placing their hand over the unit

Uniquely iLocate is fully integrated into one unit which contains all the relevant technology (GSM, GPS, SIM, antennae and battery). These are all contained within a waterproof envelope - the device is charged via an induction "peg" so as not to breach the waterproof envelope. An outer washable fabric sleeve ensures the wearers comfort and disguises the device.

iLocate is designed to be used in conjunction with a Call Centre, CCTV Centre and/or Supervisory mobile phones. A contact number can be programmed to which a voice call can be made when the alarm is triggered. This allows any on-going conversations or abuse to be overheard and potentially recorded. The web based mapping front end would be used to locate the position of the alarm quickly as the episode progresses.
