Asset Tracking
| To get a complete picture of your asset's journey you will also need to track items inside buildings. Such tracking can be done simply by manual scanning of bar codes when an asset passes a certain point or for busier situations automatic scanning and updating of RFID tags would be ideal. Because they are generally in-house systems, asset tracking solutions can offer much more information than generic GPS solutions. With RFID, information can be written to to a tag at one point, for use at another point later on. This is useful when the two points are not themselves connected - e.g. your dispatch point and customer goods inwards. |
