The Journal Fulfilment System can be used by publishers to manage the subscriptions, renewals, payments and delivery of periodic publications. It covers both the paper based and on-line versions of journals. The JFS is used by the British Medical Association, who through its BMJ subsidiary publish well over 100 medical journals - including the long-established weekly, the British Medical Journal.

Journal Fulfilment System (JFS)

The JFS is a modular system that can be customised to meet the needs of journal publishers. The JFS uses the Oracle database management system and development language. It can be deployed as a multi-tier client and server application or fully web-enabled.

The key functions of the Journal Fulfilment System are:

  • Subscriber Management
  • Subscriptions and Sales
  • Supplement and Back Issue Management
  • Stock Control and Data Warehousing
