JFS: Journal Fulfilment System

JFS, the Journal Fulfilment System is a modular system that can be customised to meet the needs of journal publishers

The JFS uses the Oracle database management system and development language. It can be deployed as a multi-tier client and server application or fully web-enabled.

Key Functions

  • Subscriber Management
  • Subscriptions and Sales
  • Supplement and Back Issue Management
  • Stock Control and Data Warehousing

The Journal Fulfilment System can be used by publishers to manage the subscriptions, renewals, payments and delivery of periodic publications. It covers both the paper based and online versions of journals.

The JFS is used by the British Medical Association, who – through its BMJ subsidiary – publish well over 100 medical journals, including the long-established weekly, the British Medical Journal.
