Summary of Position
Our business requires an experienced and knowledgeable permanent full-time developer to work on and contribute to LabelCyte, a product designed specifically to improve tracking of stem cells, blood and other human tissues through effective product labelling. Initially developed as a desktop application, LabelCyte was re-imagined as a web-based product in 2020. The application manages donation and product information, providing complete control over reference data such as locations, facilities, products, and label designs. Our extensive knowledge of life critical systems/human products has provided us with the ability to create applications such as LabelCyte.
LabelCyte has potential to grow and be developed further, and the successful candidate should have the necessary experience to collaborate and suggest new features and functionality to aid growth of the product. Whilst the successful candidate will primarily work alone, there will be input from other members of the development team, who have experience and knowledge of LabelCyte. This position requires flexibility, reliability, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate well, at all levels. The successful candidate will report to the Database Manager.
Due to the nature of the systems we develop and support there is a hybrid working from home policy in place. Our policy consists of being in the office 3 days per week and the ability (if you so choose) to work from home 2 days per week. Note: during the probationary period (6 months) candidates are expected to be in the office full-time whilst onboarding and training takes place.
