Li-LAC Event
Today At Changes In The Neonatal World
supported by the GM Educators
Today, Andy Ashford and Natasha Lee are attending Changes in the Neonatal World, an event supported by the GM Educators Conference, taking place at Haydock Racecourse. This event serves as a valuable opportunity for healthcare professionals to connect, exchange insights, and explore the latest developments in neonatal care.
Andy and Natasha will be presenting Li-LAC, our innovative product suite designed, developed, supplied and supported by Savant, to enhance the safety and security of human expressed breast milk. Li-LAC ensures full traceability and tracking of donor and maternal milk, supporting facilities in their critical processes.
The suite consists of Li-LAC Milk Bank (MB), a comprehensive application used in milk banks to manage all processes related to donor expressed breast milk (DEBM) donation, processing, testing, authorisation, issue, and track-and-trace. Li-LAC Maternal Milk Checking (MMC) is a HIMSS 6 and Scan4Safety compliant app designed for Special Care Baby Units (SCBU), Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), and maternity units. It controls all aspects of expressed breast milk (EBM) labelling, feed checking, and tracking to ensure that each baby receives the correct feed.
The conference delegates will attending a series of insightful discussions and educational sessions led by esteemed experts in neonatal care. Natalie Anders will lead a thought-provoking discussion on what quality improvement means in neonatal healthcare, while Rebecca Hinton will provide essential guidance on safely and effectively managing standard infusions.
Kathy Moses, Gemma Evans, and Finton O’Malley will explore the impact of bereavement in neonatal care and how healthcare professionals can provide compassionate support. Jo Marks will discuss key strategies for effective feeding interventions to support neonatal development and well-being, and Pip Ranson will highlight the crucial role of neonatal positioning in promoting growth, comfort, and overall development.
Sabana Bhikha will also share insights into the role of the Professional Nurse Advocate in transforming healthcare and supporting neonatal care teams.
If you’re attending, be sure to say hello to Andy and Natasha! This event is a fantastic platform to engage with professionals dedicated to advancing neonatal care and to gain valuable knowledge from leading experts in the field.
